AW-UE80

43. When I restart the power, the DRS function that I thought I had set is not working.

The following problem occurred, but we have released a fixed firmware.

Please update the firmware to Ver. 2.10 or later.

Symptom:

Even if the DRS function is set, if you turn the power off once or set standby mode, there was a problem where the effect of the DRS function is disabled when you restart the unit.

The settings you have set are reflected in the menu, but they are not working, so you had to set DRS again in the menu.

42. The camera is not working. The status indicator light on the front is lit red.

If the status indicator is lit in red, the following may be the cause.

The AW-UE80 is equipped with a lens cap to protect the lens and a pan stopper to lock the pan movement.

If you start the camera with the lens cap and pan stopper attached, the initial operation of the camera cannot be executed, causing the status indicator to light up in red.

When turning on the camera, always remove the lens cap and pan stopper.

If you turn on the power with the lens cap and pan stopper attached, remove the lens cap and pan stopper, and then turn the power on again to clear the error display.

This device does not have a USB port.

By installing the "PTZ Virtual USB Driver" (free) on your computer, you can

use the remote camera on the network as a virtual USB camera on your Windows computer.

The following may cause the option [H.264] to not be displayed on the web screen. Please check the camera settings and your PC environment.

　・The Streaming mode setting is set to something other than [H.264].

　・The H.264 Transmission setting is set to [Off].

an authentication error may occur, causing rapid red flashing.

Please prepare a PoE++ compatible network switch.

31. I have forgotten the configured account information (username, password). Is it possible to reset it?

It is possible. This device can initialize only the user authentication settings and host authentication settings for Network connections.

At this time, all registered user information (ID/password) and host information (IP address) will be deleted.

(Procedure)

1. Turn on the power with the IR ID switch and the service switch set as follows:

2. When the initialization is complete, the status indicator lamp on the front of the camera will flash green.

Return the service switch to its original state (all SW1~SW4 turned OFF) and reboot the device.

29. What is Privacy Mode?

Set the On/Off function to turn the camera backward when this device is in Standby mode.

When this function is On, the camera will face backward when the device is in Standby mode.

By setting the following to [Disable], it is possible to turn off the status indicator lamp at all times.

However, the status indicator lamp may light up during startup, firmware updates, or when an error occurs.

27. I cannot change the IP address from the easy IP setup software.

If the following setting is [20min], you will not be able to change the network settings after approximately 20 minutes have passed since turning on the device.

In this case, please restart the device and then change the IP address.

　・Web screen setting location: Setup > Network section: Network > Easy IP Setup accommodate period > [20min / Unlimited] > [Set] *Factory default setting [20min]

　　*This setting is not available in the camera's menu, so please change it from the Web GUI screen.

26. I want to operate the iris manually.

The initial setting for the camera's scene file is [Full Auto]. In this case, you cannot manually control the iris.

To manually control the iris, please change the scene file setting to something other than [Full Auto].

This device is designed to operate with power supplied from a PoE++ (IEEE802.3bt) network switch.

If using a PoE+ (IEEE802.3at) network switch, an authentication error may occur, causing the status indicator light to flash red rapidly.

* While the device will operate with a PoE+ compatible network switch under normal usage within the operating ambient temperature range, in case of external factors causing forced stops of pan-tilt or if there are significant changes in the surrounding temperature causing power consumption to exceed the PoE+ specified power, the camera may stop operating or the PoE+ compatible network switch may forcibly stop power supply depending on its specifications.

Since PoE+ compatible network switchs are not guaranteed to work, please conduct prior operational checks under your usage conditions and make the decision to use at your own discretion.

* PoE (IEEE802.3af) compatible network switchs cannot be used.
