Q1. AJ-PCS060G / Mac
I installed the
driver for an Intel Mac on a PowerPC based Macintosh by mistake.
After that, I tried to install the driver for a PowerPC Macintosh but I
couldn't. How can I?
It is not
possible to install the driver for a PowerPC based Macintosh after the
driver for an Intel Mac has been installed.
Please delete the driver for Intel Macs before installing the driver for
the PowerPC Macintosh.
Please delete the two files below to delete the driver for Intel Macs.
/system/Extensions/P2StoreUSBStorageClass.kext
/Library/Receipts/P2StoreDriver.pkg
Q2. AJ-PCS060G / Mac
When using a P2store
with a MAC, I missed a copy of original footage.
P2 Store has a
maximum of 15 drive partitions.
When a P2 Store connects to a MAC, occasionally one or several drive
partitions will not appear on the desktop.
Please note that this may cause a failure to copy the original footage.
The best way to avoid this is to mount all drive partitions manually.
Q3. P2 / Avid
A P2 card is not
recognized on a P2 product.
The P2 card was
formatted in a P2 Product and the clip was exported by Avid XpressPro5.7(or NewsCutter6.7). What can I do to
prevent this?
Please update
Avid Editor to the latest version (AvidXpressPro5.7.2,NewsCutterXP6.7.2
CPR).
Or record once
on a P2 product with the P2 card after it has been formatted before using
P2 export on Avid, even if it's only for one second.
Q4. P2 / Avid
All clips exported
by Avid XpressPro 5.7(or NewsCutter 6.7) are not recognized correctly on
a P2 product. What can I do to prevent this?
Please note the
length of each clip. The recording time is less than 8 minutes on DVCPRO
HD
(less than 16
minutes on DVCPRO50, less than 32 minutes on DVCPRO)

Q5. P2 / Avid
A part of a spanned
clip from multiple P2 cards can not be seen (Media Offline) in Avid
editor.
Avid Xpress Pro HD
5.2.1USB2 file transfer.
When part of a
spanned clip from multiple P2 cards or an 8GB card is not seen (Media
Offline) in Avid editor, the following steps are recommended.
1) Unmount the
target drives of P2 cards, by File > Unmount on Avid editor.
2) Mount the
drives again, by File > Mount
All.
Q6. P2 / Apple FCP
The frame rate changed when I
ingested 720pN footage into Final Cut Pro Ver 5.1.2 to 5.1.4.

Without Under/Over cranking effect recording
1.
Open "Import
preference" menu in FCP
2.
Remove the check on "Remove
Advanced- Pulldown and Duplicate frames" item and then try to import
again.

With under/over cranking effect recording
1.
Open menu in HVX200 : “RECORDING SETUP” and then set “UB MODE” to
“FRM.RATE” before recording.
2.
Open "Import
preference" menu in FCP
3.
Remove the check on "Remove
Advanced- Pulldown and Duplicate frames" item and then try to import
again.
