P2 ROP APP　Remote Operation Panel Application software for AJ-PX5000 / AJ-PX270

  • Communication error  Camera recorder and iPad are not correctly set up.

    Please check if the following settings are set.
    • Camera recorder settings
    　- [NETWORK SETUP] -> Set [NETWORK SEL] to [WLAN]
    　- [NETWORK SETUP] -> [WIRELESS PROPERTY] -> Set [TYPE] to [DIRECT] and set each item under
    [WIRELESS PROPERTY] as necessary.
    • iPad settings
    　1. Select [Settings] on Home screen of the iOS device.
    　2. Select [P2 ROP] in the list at the left of setup screen.
    　3. Setup screen for this application will open. Set the settings as necessary.
    　　・IP Address
    　　 Enter the IP address set in the camera recorder.
    　　 If the camera recorder’s [NETWORK SETUP] -> [WIRELESS PROPERTY] -> [DHCP SERVER] is
    [ENABLE], this setting up is not needed.
    　　・User Account
    　　 Enter the user account name set in the camera recorder.
    　　 If it has not been changed from the factory default (“guest”), this setting up is not needed.
    　　・Password
    　　 Enter the password set in the camera recorder.
    　　 If it has not been changed from the factory default (“p2guest”), this setting up is not needed.

  • Communication error  iPad and the camera recorder are not connected via Wi-Fi.

    Check the Wi-Fi connection on the iPad
    　　　　　1. Select [Settings] on Home screen of the iOS device.
    　　　　　2. Open [Wi-Fi] setup window to set [Wi-Fi] to ON.
    　　　　　3. Select the camera recorder from the list of detected Wi-Fi devices.
    　　　　　4. If the password entry screen is displayed, enter the Wi-Fi password (WPA2 encryption key) set in the camera recorder.
    　　　　　5. Confirm that they are now connected.

  • Communication error  The camera recorder is not ready.

    Right after the iPad and camera recorder get connected via Wi-Fi, the network communication may
    fail. End P2ROP application temporarily and, after approx. 10 sec. have passed, start it again.

    The model of the camera recorder should be AJ-PX270 (Ver 16.30 or higher) or AJ-PX5000 (Ver 20.40 or higher).

  • App does not work  ZOOM/FOCUS setup screen does not open.

    The camera recorder may not be capable of remote control over ZOOM/FOCUS.
    To remotely control the ZOOM/FOCUS, the model of the camera recorder should be AJ-PX270 and its firmware needs to have been updated to the latest version.

  • App does not work  Thumbnail list does not appear.

    The camera recorder’s REC function may be working.
    While REC is working, the camera recorder cannot display the thumbnail list. Please stop REC function.

  • App does not work  Proxy cannot be played.

    Several reasons can be given. Please check each of the following points.

    1) The camera recorder’s REC function is working.
     　While REC is working, the camera recorder cannot display the thumbnail list. Please stop REC function.

    2) Proxy is an interlaced file.
    　When the signal format of camera recorder is 1080/59.94i or 1080/50i, if Proxy is recorded in AVC-G6 mode, it cannot be played.

  • App does not work  Proxy playback stops halfway.

    When Proxy is large in size, or when conditions for transmission are bad, data transfer is so slow
    that playback may stop halfway.
    If it stops, please start it again after a while.

    The camera recorder may be in GUI mode.
    When the camera recorder is in GUI mode, Metadata cannot be rewritten.
