  • Software Usage
    Read the software usage agreement carefully, then select either "I accept" or "I do not accept."

    <About P2 viewer playback>

    Playback performance of P2 viewer depends on CPU or graphics of PC.
    Please refer to the recommended environment below and use P2 viewer with accepting those limitation.

    Recommended environment to play back DVCPROHD format clips
    CPU : Pentium D (3.2 GHz or greater)
    RAM : 1 GB or greater

    Recommended environment to play back AVC-Intra format clips
    (If AVC-Intra 50)
    CPU: Core2 Duo (2.66 GHz or greater)
    RAM: DDR2-667 1 GB or greater
    (If AVC-Intra 100)
    CPU: Dual CPU configuration dual-core Xeon (3 GHz or greater)
    RAM: DDR2-667 1 GB or greater

    Playback performance depends on performance of PC used or running conditions. When playing back from a hard disk drive, it also depends on performance and conditions of the hard disk drive.

    <Note>
    P2 clips of DVCPRO HD format can be played back on PCs with CPU supporting SSE2 instruction code such as Pentium M, Pentium 4, Pentium D and Celeron D, and it can not be played back on PCs with Pentium III, Athlon or Athlon XP.
    Block noises may occur occasionally when P2 clips which are rendered by using non-linear editing software are played back.

  • <Supplement>
    Depending on the personal computer, dropped image frames, disconnected sound, misaligned display of the current bar or time code may occur when playing back images. Additionally, depending on the materials, a single frame step can't be executed. Please note and acknowledge the above.
    When recording formats are mixed in the bin area, they may not sort in the order of the start TC and duration.
    Even when connecting/disconnecting P2 equipment or the P2 card to/from the equipment connected via USB, clips in the bin area may not be updated. When this happens, click [Refresh] in the [Display] menu.
    When using a card with 8 GB or more on P2 equipment and the time for one continuous recording exceeds the time shown in the table below, the recording automatically continues as another clip.
    The P2 Viewer will display, remove, and copy the separate clips by treating them as one clip.
    In addition, the maximum number of clips with text memos and voice memos is 100 per separated clip. Recording format Recording time

    * DVCPRO HD doesn't include 720P/30PN and 720P/24PN.
    If you haven't registered [User Name] in [Setting] from the [Tool] menu of the P2 Viewer, the name set in the [Name] field (according to settings, it may be displayed as [User name]) of the user account is used as a last update person when changing metadata (for Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 ).
    [Change my name] from [User Accounts] in Control Panel for Windows XP and [Change your account name] in Windows Vista and Windows 7 changes the [Full Name] field of the user account, not to change the [Name] field. To change the [Name] field for a user account, follow the procedure described below:
    Windows XP
    Right-click [My Computer] and click [Manage].
    Click and expand [Local Users and Groups].
    Click [Users].
    Right-click the account to change and click [Rename].
    Windows Vista and Windows 7
    Right-click [Computer] and click [Manage].
    Click [Continue] in user account control window.
    Click and expand [Local Users and Groups].
    Click [Users].
    Right-click the account to change and click [Rename].

    <Software License Agreement>

    Panasonic Entertainment & Communication Co., Ltd. ("Panasonic") grants you a non-exclusive license to use the P2 Viewer ("Software") in accordance with the terms and conditions below.
    By clicking on the "I accept" button of this Agreement, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below and may install the Software free of charge.
    1. You may use this Software for purposes within the usage scope of P2 cards.
    2. You may make one copy of the Software and related documentation, in whole or in part, solely for backup purposes.
    3. Except for the backup copy described in item 2 above, you may not otherwise copy or modify the Software or related documentation. You may not sublicense or transfer the license for the Software or related documentation to a third party regardless of whether such sublicense or transfer is free of charge. It is also prohibited to sell software or hardware created using the Software.
    4. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software in whole or in part.
    5. This Agreement takes effect upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions herein and upon using the Software, and it will remain effective until terminated. If you breach any of the terms and conditions herein, Panasonic reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and the license of the Software, and may be entitled to recover from you any damages suffered by Panasonic. Upon termination, you must destroy the Software, all related documentation and copies. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by destroying the Software, all related documentation and copies.
    6. Panasonic MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SOFTWARE AND RELATED DOCUMENTATION OR USE OF THEM. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEM OR EXPENSES ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE AND RELATED DOCUMENTATION OR USE OF THEM.
    7. IN NO EVENT WILL Panasonic BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING FROM USE OR INABILITY OF USE OF THE SOFTWARE OR RELATED DOCUMENTATION.
    8. Panasonic reserves the right to change the Software specifications and related documentation without notice.
    9. This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
    Export Rules
    You agree that the Software will not be shipped, transferred or exported into any country or used in any manner prohibited by the United States Export Administration Act or any other export laws, restrictions or regulations (collectively the "Export Laws").
    In addition, if the Software is identified as export controlled items under the Export Laws, you represent and warrant that you are not a citizen, or otherwise located within, an embargoed nation (including without limitation Iran, Syria, Sudan, Cuba, and North Korea) and that you are not otherwise prohibited under the Export Laws from receiving the Software.
    All rights to use the Software are granted on condition that such rights are forfeited, if you fail to comply with the terms of this agreement.
